i just found this last comment while cruising the net, but I guess the person who wrote it and says I don’t know what it’s like to be a battered wife knows nothing about me and has never read anything I wrote on the subject. Oh well. You can’t win ‘em all.

Polyandry has been used in Tibet for centuries. Prostitution and homosexualtiy have also been dostered in societies that kill lots of women and baby girls. I believe Polygamy should be accepted in as many societies as possible although monogamy ought to be normal. Polygyny was a privilege for exceptional men in many clasical societies epsecially in the Eastern Mediterranean. It creates conditions where women are always in demand for love and marriage and family and changes the dynamics of society. It also creates a possible basis for a less rabid view by heterosexuals towards homosexuals and prostitutes without becoming value-free. Polyandry may have its place but infanticide of baby girls (which usualy goes with killing older girls to a lesser degree is often associated with the practice).

if a woman expects her husband to be monogamous then she better as hell be ready to have sex when he wants, always. the fact is, western women believe in their right to say no. a lot. when will they get it through their head that if they say no to sex their husbands will quench their needs elsewhere?

it is obvious you must have had a very difficult childhood or perhaps a deep rooted trauma. It is a shame you have chosen to direct your sickness and anger toward a group of people who actually honor and cherish their wives, daughters and mothers. As a a married Jewish woman I have experienced the Torah and Oral traditions of Judaism honor and protect Jewish Im hoping you will get the psychological help you clearly need.
